Jason Collier

Jason Collier and his sister, Regan, of Baton Rouge, La., have a new love — skydiving. Through Skydive N’Awlins, a Slidell, La., organization, Jason and Regan, who both have Friedreich’s ataxia and use wheelchairs, enjoyed the freedom of flying through the air at high speeds.

From a Cessna 182 at 10,000 feet, Jason, 23, and Regan, 22, each tandem-jumped with jumpmaster Ernie Long of Dallas.

This month Jason will graduate from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a master’s degree in business administration. Regan is a junior at LSU, where she’s majoring in general studies with a triple minor in English, sociology and communication studies.
