A Closer Look: Diaphragm Pacing System
The NeuRx Diaphragm Pacing System (DPS) is an implanted device that treats hypoventilation (inadequate breathing) in ALS. The DPS doesn’t slow or stop the progression of ALS, but it may improve quality of life.
