RESOURCES FOR ADOPTION

To find out about your state's adoption requirements, check with the department charged with care of children (for example, Children's Services, Human Services, or Children, Youth and Families Administration).

Adoption Assistance Payments is a federal program providing subsidies to people who adopt children with disabilities. The amounts, time periods and other guidelines vary by state. Check with your state's adoption office.
