AAN Meeting to Announce Progress
in ALS, MD Research
If you’re a neurologist, you’re probably finalizing plans
to attend the 55th annual meeting of the American Academy of Neurology
(AAN), a cutting-edge forum on topics from migraine to motor neuron
disease.
If you’re not a neurologist, don’t worry. MDA staff will
be at the meeting to cover the latest research news for you.
This year, the AAN meeting will be held in Honolulu from March 29 to
April 5. More than 1,000 presentations are planned, many of them describing
advances in research on amyotrophic
lateral sclerosis (ALS) and the
muscular dystrophies.
On April 2, the AAN Foundation will honor MDA National Chairman Jerry
Lewis with the 2003 Public Leadership in Neurology Award.
