Painting by Young Temecula Artist Accepted into MDA Art Collection

TUCSON, Ariz. – Brian Groh, an artist and high school student from Temecula, Calif., has had a painting accepted into the Muscular Dystrophy Association Art Collection. Now in its 19th year, the Collection features artwork by people from across the country with muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular diseases.

TUCSON, Ariz. - One of the world's greatest humanitarians of all time, Jerry Lewis has announced he's retiring as host of the annual Muscular Dystrophy Association Labor Day Telethon.  "As a labor of love, I've hosted the annual Telethon since 1966, and I'll be making my final appearance on the show this year by performing my signature song, 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

MDA Awards Research Grant to Molecular Biologist at Baylor College of Medicine

TUCSON, Ariz. (April 15, 2010) — Forty-two medical researchers and their labs have been awarded more than $21 million in grants by the Muscular Dystrophy Association to advance critical neuromuscular research in 2010. Many of the grants are multiyear awards to be dispersed over the next three years.
