In the Plymouth area, the Telethon will be seen on KSTC, Channel 45.
About Jayson Tibbets
Tibbets, 17, is affected by Becker muscular dystrophy (BMD), a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle weakness and degeneration. He uses a power chair for mobility.
In 2010, Tibbets served as the Minnesota MDA Goodwill Ambassador and also was honored by the Minnesota Timberwolves Fastbreak Foundation as a “Hero in the Making” for his commitment to our community.
Tibbets is a student at Wayzata High School, and is a fan of sports and military history (his father is a retired Marine). He enjoys volunteering for MDA and traveling with his parents, Jay and Lynn, and younger brother, Jack (who does not have DMD). Like most teenagers, he also likes to hang out with his friends, who often show up to support him at the many programs and events he does for MDA.
