TUCSON, Ariz. — The Muscular Dystrophy Association has named Jonathan O.L.H. Porter of Seattle, Wash., the recipient of its Robert Ross National Personal Achievement Award for 2013. Porter, 26, was chosen from other nominees for the award based on his personal achievements and his work on behalf of others with disabilities.

TUCSON, Ariz. — A first-time program for Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt and the Muscular Dystrophy Association has raised $234,307 to help "spread smiles" for children and adults affected by neuromuscular disease. The funds were raised by Menchie’s guests nationwide during a monthlong program to benefit the Association.

TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 6, 2012 — United Disability Services of Akron, Ohio, will display 20 selections from the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Art Collection throughout the rest of the summer and fall. Now in its 20th year, the Collection features artwork by people from across the country who are living with muscular dystrophy and related muscle diseases.
