to Benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association

LOS ANGELES – Actor, singer and martial arts expert Booboo Stewart will introduce his milkshake and meet fans at Millions of Milkshakes at Westfield Culver City Mall on Saturday, Aug. 28, at 4 p.m. Twenty percent of all the proceeds from Booboo's shake sold on Saturday will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Booboo Stewart: Makes a Muscle, Make a Difference

Booboo Stewart is the newest Celebrity Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and is also a member of MDA's Muscle Team. He currently is appearing in the Association's "Make a Muscle, Make a Difference" print and video public service announcement campaign. He joins a growing list of celebrities who are "flexing their muscles" to help children and adults affected by muscle-damaging diseases, and advance MDA's lifesaving mission.

Joining Booboo at the event will be Jordan Balla, 13, of Tujunga, Calif., who has spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and served as MDA’s 2008 California State Goodwill Ambassador.

Booboo Stewart plays the coveted fan favorite role of Seth Clearwater in the mega summer hit movie The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and looks forward to reprising his role in the forthcoming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and 2.

Booboo is an accomplished actor, dancer, singer, musician, two-time world karate champion and is one of the biggest breakout teen stars of the summer. He recently accepted the Teen Choice Award alongside his Twilight Saga cast members for "Favorite Cast" at the 2010 TCA's and is acclimating to his new life as a teen heartthrob.

Booboo currently tours with his sisters, Fivel and Maegan Stewart, and has two singles available on iTunes under the name Booboo & Fivel: "Rainy Day" and the recently released "You Don't Know Me.” He will next be seen in the family film Smitty opposite Mira Sorvino and Louis Gossett Jr., and next will star alongside Kellan Lutz in the anime DVD series The Guardians of Luna.

Booboo will begin shooting the indie feature Jake Stevens this fall and will star alongside Fivel Stewart in the action feature Canyon 257, shooting in the summer of 2011. It also has just been announced that in 2011 Booboo and Fivel Stewart will star in a yet-to-be-named family television series on The Hub, a new network launching Oct. 10, 2010.

"I'm excited to be making my own milkshake and helping to raise money for the MDA," said Booboo. "I hope everyone comes out for a milkshake and to support such an amazing cause!"

MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
