Bill was a retired high school teacher and author of two plays and a children’s novel. This artwork was inspired by Bill’s interest in creating scenes with a Western motif.  He donated two other paintings to the Art Collection.

Alan created this artwork at age eight at an MDA-sponsored children's art workshop held in May, 1992, at the Chicago Art Institute.  He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor of art’s degree in political science.  Alan enjoys music and attending concerts.

Carol created this artwork at an MDA-sponsored art workshop held August 13, 1992, in Providence.  Her hobbies include reading, swimming, and bike riding.

Josh created this artwork at age 16 in an MDA-sponsored art workshop held in Providence.  He graduated from West Warwick High School and was a movie fan and football enthusiast.

Lisa graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a degree in education and teaches preschool children.

Tammie created this artwork at age 11 at an MDA-sponsored children's art workshop held May 15, 1993, at the Detroit Institute of Art.  Her service dog, “Ty,” accompanies her to classes at Schoolcraft College where she’s studying psychology.

Diane has had many one-woman shows at art galleries in Monterey, San Francisco and the Bay area as well as in a one-woman show at Nordstroms in San Francisco.  Her work has also been part of an annual show at the Alameda Historical Museum.  Diane is a long-time member of the Alameda Art Association.  For 13 years she served as chairperson of an MDA-sponsored support group in the San Francisco area.

Mallory has been drawing since she was a toddler. She participates in school art competitions.  Mallory’s hobbies include knitting, music and playing video games. This is her second donation to the MDA Art Collection.
